Happy Lunar New Year! ...

... or as they say in Mandarin:Gong Xie Fa Caior in Cantonese:Gung Hay Fat ChoyAlthough most people call it the Chinese New Year, technically it's the Lunar New Year. I know some Koreans celebrate it, and I am guessing some Japanese and other Asians who reckon using the Lunar Calendar instead of the Gregorian Calendar (aka Solar Calendar) that Westerners use, will celebrate it.May this Year of the Rat bring you health, wealth, happiness, and success...

My mother-in-law

9 years ago tonight, my mother-in-law, passed away of lung cancer in her hospital bed. Funny thing...she didn't smoke. Doctor guessed it was the asbestos in the sweatshop she worked at.
